The Mt. Pleasant Zonta Club holds their annual Apple Festival at Papa’s Pumpkin Patch. It is the largest Autumn Festival in the Central Michigan Area. Thousands of people come to enjoy homemade apple products, live music, arts & crafts and much more at this annual event. Don’t forget about the Craft Show! With it being one of the largest in the state, Zonta’s Applefest truly has made a name for itself. Just passing its 25th year anniversary, this event is full of family fun.
There will be wagon rides and walking tours of the vegetable garden, orchard and fishpond that will be ongoing during the day. Children will have a blast with activities such as the pumpkin train ride, corn maze, face paintings and rides in the hay-wagon. You can buy arts & crafts, eat great food; purchase pumpkins, apples, cider and more. Come early to get yours!
There is no admission charge for this event with all proceeds going towards local programs and projects. The Applefest will go on rain or shine, even though shine is preferred!
The 2016 Zonta Applefest will be held the last weekend of September.

As said in a 2012 article by The Morning Sun: “Applefest is always a great place for families because there are so many things for everyone to have fun with, it’s so nice to see families enjoying themselves and having a good time,” says co-chairperson Monica Fox.
