Summer is the perfect time to get outside for some park fun. This year, Isabella County Parks has partnered with CMU, RPL (Recreation Park & Leisure) Department to offer the new Play on the Way Program out at 3 of the county parks; Deerfield Nature Park, Coldwater Lake Family Park and Herrick Recreation Area.
Play on the Way provides an interactive park experience with supervised games and activities for children of all ages. The fun is brought to the parks giving a wonderful free opportunity to enjoy a unique rural recreation experience. The CMU Recreation Staff bring a fully equipped truck and facilitate youth and families through a variety of outdoor experiences. Activities such as KidzScience, sports, games, environmental activities, cultural arts, whacky water days and family playground relays; everything active and fun we can dream up!
Central Michigan University’s Mobile Recreation Program is heading to your Isabella County Parks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from June 15th through August 26th. Pack a snack and head over to the Park for some outdoor fun. Simply register for these FREE Programs by calling 989.317.4083 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org the day before attending the program. Programs are designed for K-12 graders and participants must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
